overview, seriousWHO, WHEN, WHEREMy name is Kellen Freeman and I am an undergraduate (class of 2011) at the University of California, Berkeley studying mathematics. I currently live in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italia and (when in Berkeley) work as an adjunct instructor for the Student Learning Center on the Berkeley campus. I picked up photography in high school, and finally got my first DSLR in summer, 2008. Even now, I feel as though I have only hit the tip of the iceberg when it comes to photography. With the countless resources available in books, courses and online, I have learned there is no comparison to actually trying techniques for yourself. I enjoy reading about photography and am an active participant in online photography communities. I also teach two classes at the university relating to the technical aspects of digital photography. I also work as a contributing photographer with the Daily Californian, an independent newspaper covering both city and campus news. Some of my contributions to the paper can be viewed here. Although I primary shoot Nikon, my experience with the Daily Calfornian has afforded me the opportunities to familiarize myself with Canon's offerings. gearAs a starving (not really) college student, I cannot afford the luxuries of professional equipment, however I love the gear I currently have: Nikon D90 |
