The Maker Studio is a new branch of the Delaware County District Library. It contains a variety of fabrication tools from a laser cutter to 3D printers. We also offer more analog options such as a button maker and book binder.
I was hired to create and manage the Maker Studio. I sourced the equipment and oversee its use. We train patrons how to use the equipment on their own and I teach classes to introduce the concepts in simple to understand ways. We also have computers with professional graphic design and CAD software.
We opened in August of 2019. To learn more about the services and equipment available at the Studio, visit delawarelibrary.org/makerstudio.
