The Maker Annex

The Maker Annex is a branch of the Delaware County District Library. It was founded as a maker space for the community involving STEAM education offerings, training, and tools for digital and analog creation.

I was hired to create and manage the Maker Annex. My role involves ordering and operating the equipment such a laser cutter, 3D printers, a vinyl cutter, sewing machines, and more. We also have computers with professional graphic design and CAD software.

In addition, I teach classes surrounding technology and training for the equipment we offer. These are on hold due to the COVID closure of the building to the public. I look forward to offering these classes again in the future when it is safe to do so.

We opened in August of 2019. In June of 2020 we relocated to the main library where we’ve taken up shop. To learn more about the services and equipment available at the Annex, visit
